We have teamed up to form a foundation that's going to be dedicated to building teams of 5 college ready scholars and placing them on the campuses of Historically Black Colleges and Universities. What We Do?

The 5 Strong Scholarship Foundation partners with HBCUs to provided full tuition scholarships and ongoing mentorship and support to scholars that have academic and leadership potential. Our vision is to help increase retention and graduation rates of Historically Black Colleges and Universities by placing cohorts of 5 Strong Scholars on HBCU campuses nationwide each year. With the support offered by the 5 Strong Foundation, these groups of 5 Strong Scholars will become equipped with the academic, professional, and social tools that position them to be leaders on their campuses, leaders in their communities and leaders in the international workforce.

The 5 Strong Scholarship Foundation, Inc. is a nonprofit 501c3 organization. Our team consists of experienced educators that have over 30 years of experience helping minority students graduate from high school and get into college. We have teamed up to form a foundation that's dedicated to building cohorts of 5 College Ready Scholars and placing them on the campuses of Historically Black Colleges and Universities. Each 5 Strong Scholar will receive a full tuition scholarship from one of our partnering HBCUs. These teams of 5 Strong Scholars will be leaders in the classroom and on campus. The 5 Strong Team will support and mentor each Scholar "From Matriculation to Graduation!"

5 Strong Mission

Our mission is our strength.

The mission of the 5 Strong Scholarship Foundation is to increase the retention and graduation rates at partnering Historically Black Colleges and Universities by assisting in the enrollment and success of academically promising student leaders until graduation. These emerging leaders and scholars, who will enter in a cohort of 5 students and be known as 5 Strong Scholars, will be supported over the course of their college career to ensure persistence and graduation in four years. Through academic, personal/social, and career development, these students will positively impact their college campuses and be better prepared to compete in our global society.

The 5 Strong Selection Process

All 5 Strong applicants will apply online to begin the application process. Applicants that meet our minimum requirements and have a track record of true leadership will be selected to attend a group interview session that will take place in Atlanta, in January 2018. Selected applicants will be chosen from our group interview session to attend our second round interview. Throughout our interview process, The 5 Strong Team will specifically be looking for scholars that have the full potential to be leaders and team players. If selected, Scholars must be able to attend our Mandatory Bi-monthly College Prep Sessions. These sessions will take place in Atlanta, Geogia. Our online application deadline is December 31, 2017.
