Dedra Ragland Memorial Scholarship Fund

Dedra Ragland Monagan was a caring mother, loving daughter, awesome sister and wonderful friend to have. Dedra lost her 2nd fight with cancer at the young age of 56. Dedra embraced everyone she knew or met that was battling cancer and she was truly a Drum Major for the fight against cancer. Often called, "Diva Dee," Dedra was one of the strongest women I've ever known and she persevered until the end never bowing her head in defeat. The Dedra Ragland Monagan Memorial Scholarship was created to provide scholarship funds to "5 Strong" female senior Scholars that have exhibited the same Strength and Perseverance as Dedra. These recipients have "never quit" mentalities and they work hard and strive for excellence. 5 Strong will award 2 Scholars the Dedra Ragland Monagan Memorial Scholarship every year in the month of December (Dedra's Birthday month).
