Erika Moore is a Certified Scrum Professional - Product Owner (CSP-PO) with over 13 years of experience in the InsurTech industry. She earned her Associates Degree from Briarcliffe College (Bethpage, NY), where she also founded Pi Omega Beta Multi-Cultural Sorority. At Applied Systems, Inc., Erika serves as Co-Chair for Black at Applied, an employee resource group (ERG) dedicated to fostering inclusivity. She has been recognized as an Applied All-Star - one of the company’s highest honor - twice, in October 2021 and November 2023, as voted by her peers.
Coming from humble beginnings, Erika participated in a college-readiness program for Black youth that reshaped her perspective on higher education. However, while the program inspired her academic ambitions, it did not fully prepare her for the challenges of college life. She graduated with her Associates Degree but was unable to continue due to financial constraints, leaving school with over a dozen individual student loans.
A firm believer in networking and paying it forward - Erika is passionate about helping others succeed. She lives by the philosophy that “if everyone does a little, no one has to do a lot.” In her free time, she enjoys reading, playing soccer, and spending quality time with her family.
